    Per the Bears official twitter

LM: #Bears have re-signed TE Kyle Adams and terminated contract of vested veteran OT Jonathan Scott.

Huh, never thought I would see both Webb and Scott out this season. As for Kyle Adams much like Unga I have no idea if they think he's still a project or not.

Makes us a better team, IMO. I was a bit of an Adams hater at first, but I've come to appreciate his game from the limited PT he has gotten. Average moving TE, but how he gets there seems to be smart and precise. I like his routes and his blocking is very solid.

I guess this means they weren't all that confident that Scott was going to be 100% at any point this season.

Most likely his knee wasn't responding. Every time I read something about him it said they were draining fluid from the knee and that's not a very good sign as far as him healing from his surgery. Now all three OTs from last year are gone and I wonder now if Emery, Trestman and Kromer wish the weren't quite so cocksure about Webb becoming very good RT. I don't know that Carimi would have started but at the very least he'd have been competition. Ah well, Eben Britton is at least his equal so now I guess Emery needs to find a spare LT.

I agree with you regarding Scott's knee, soulman. I guess it turned out to be worse than everyone had hoped.

This may be more about not guaranteeing his $715k salary. If he is resigned next week, he's essentially playing on a week to week contract. That adds flexibility to our 53rd roster spot.

crazy, but I don't mind it. I didn't think Scott played better then Webb last year, but the team was high on him so whateve....as for Kyle Adams I think he's a better H-Back canidate then the guy we just traded for so while I don't think he's great I think it will be okay in a limited role.
