On a scale of 1-10, how confident are you the Bears will beat the Rams on Sunday?
Las Vegas has Rams favored by 1 point. I think it's a toss-up. Lately, Bears games come down to making a defensive stop at end of 4Q.
This will be a tough game. We could win. But it will require us playing at our best, with fewer mistakes from players and coaches.
Yeah as the Rams really beat the Colts that was a shocker!
The Colts had bad matchups. I like ours better minus the Rams rushing vs Bears Run D.
I wonder how Clemens will play. He had one bad week and one good week followed by a bye week.
I wish we had a pass rush because I'd love to pressure him and see how reacts. Being new I think we could do well with that, but I don't think we'll get much pressure. This is going to be a hard game and the Lions get a really easy one against TB. Dammit
We really need this win. I don't even care if it's ugly; if we come out on top, I'll be thrilled.
But I can see the Rams winning. I think their defense is scary and they are playing at home, after 2 weeks of rest. Like JABF said above, we have to play our best and make NO mistakes. I believe they can do it, but I'm nervous heading into this game.
I'm kind of shocked to see the highest vote was a 6...It's a solid win in my book, so confidence wise, 10.
Forte has best game of the year
Hester takes one to the house
D-line gets 3 sacks
Win by 9
They blew out the Colts, and came within a whisker of beating Seattle - at Seattle. We need to bring some serious pressure on Clemens, while protecting McCown on offense. We do need a big day out of Forte too. This is a game we can win, but it will take a great effort with few mistakes. Anything less and we lose this one.
The Colts aren't nearly as good as people think and had bad matchups and the Rams play all of their divisional games very hard. Don't overthink this game. The Bears should win if they play smart football on both sides.
This year is a complete reversal of last year, Bears are only as good as the D wants them to be.
On that scale of probabilities I'd give it a 7 or a 70% chance of winning. I almost hate to admit it but I love to see it, the defense is beginning to play better ball even as the injuries continue to pile up. With the DT position nearly shot the DEs need to take over. I think the key to winning here is to get scores and the board early and force the Rams into passing. If we allow them to run a balanced attack as poorly as they're playing the run right now that could be a problem. Get them in a position where they have to play catch up and pass and we should win.
Bears played a long game, in thick mud. They gotta have tired legs, playing a fast team, who is so very fresh.
I think the Bears will win, but it won't be easy.
I gave it a 5. they are coming off a bye and playing at home.
Of course we came off a bye and went to Cinncy and got the shit kicked out of us in the past.
Maybe the Rams come on with that attitude.
i.e. its a gimme.
I sure wish they had Steven Jackson back.
They sure knew when to unload him to Atlanta.
I gave it a 6. This is going to be a tough game especially if the crowd gets into it early. Other than winning the TO battle defensively we need to eliminate big plays (20 yds or more) & get off the field on 3rd down. If Peppers continues to play how he has of late I like our chances.
Offensively I would like to see us run the ball more effectively. I think the Rams play alot of man to man coverage so we should be able to exploit that with our big WRs. M. Bennett will probably chip their DEs alot today but should be open late for dump off passes & I expect Britten will play quite a bit to help block their DEs
I expect a close game & it wouldn't surprise me if the team that makes a big play on STs wins the game. One of Hester's best games was in St. Louis & their returner Austin is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. When was the last time we blocked a FG?
Lastly, when we are in position to score we have to score. By that I mean kick FGs when we are in FG range on 4th & short instead of going for it & no TOs in the red zone. When you play on the road in a noisy dome nothing fires up the crowd more than a 4th down stop or TO & in a close game coming away empty when you are in scoring position is how you lose.
if mccown and oline play as good as they have been so far i would give us a 8/10
Kellen Clemens roasted the Colts' D in Indy. This game could be close.
1. Our defense needs a total rebuild this off-season. Not much there worth keeping. Just a bunch of mediocre (and downright bad) players.
2. RB Michael Bush is a waste of money.
Im being cautious here but I think we walk with a win ... 42-21.
