damn a mistype, how dare I.
A successful season, in my eyes, will simply be a team that improves all season long. It is a new team. New coaches, players, youngsters starting, schemes, playbooks etc.
The Brandon Marshall interview (thread LINK) was spot on, IMHO. It takes time to pull all of this together and become a top-tier team. So, for me it's not a simple win/loss thing. Heck, we won 10 games last year, and clearly were a mediocre team. I want to see the team get better each week, and build a firm foundation for sustained winning in future years. Winning Super Bowls, and not just 10-win mediocre teams that stay in 3rd place of the NFC-N each year.
Gotta crawl, then walk & THEN run with the Big Boys winning Super Bowls.
Ric, I just assumed that you were stating the obvious.
We will be 5-2 and go into the bye week looking pretty good.
My bad. I just assumed being new here and seeing you as the condescending type with your cocky attitude you didn't make mistakes. Damn fat fingers. Anyway, we are all Bears fans, some of us just think we are better than others. uhhhummmm. So yeah.
btw, you would think after 16k posts you would know to "quote" me so not to dilute the thread.

Considering the Washington whatevers are the next opponent and the entirety of the NFCE is awfull it's a safe assumption. But it's going to completely depend on if the team can get a adacuate DL to stop Wash's run game and running qb.
And we hang out in the Bar Scene...j/k....
10-6 and make playoffs.
Let's see .........
New Coaching staff -- check
New "O" Line (with 4 new starters including two rookies) -- check
New LB core (two of the three and one injured) now including one rookie -- check
"D" Line decimated by injuries and aging (Peppers) -- check
NO Cap space to bring in even one veteran FA -- check
At this point I would think that a winning record would be a achievement in itself. Getting into the playoffs would be a bonus but with teams like SF, Seattle and (choke) Detroit I just don't think it's going to happen.
