I LOVED the 7th round selection at the time, and everything this kid has done over the course of the past few months points to an Emery draft steal! I really hope he gets plenty of reps this season. Something tells me the kid is going to contribute something this year! Anyone out there purchase a # 10 jersey yet?!!!

I'm waiting to see what he does in a regular season game when called upon. But, I do love his potential. What's amazing to me is that out of the six draft picks it looks like half of them will be starting game one. And the other three will have some sort of role in their respective positions and special teams. That's 100% participation from a draft class in their first season. Unheard of during the Angelo years. That's something even Soulman has to be impressed by. ;)

Do you guys think it's even possible that Terrence Tolliver, the 6'5" UFA rookie WR can make this team? Or is that a pipe dream?

Wilson has demonstrated fearlessness with some of his over the middle catches . Kid just concentrates and catches the ball . He put up great stats in college . His role will be reduced in his first few yrs as a pro , but in the long run ( hopefully ) he can be a dependable solid contributor .

I'm excited for this kid...for the future. I'm glad he made the team as he deserved to but he needs a year to become a contributor.

I agree. It is exciting to think that we have young talent kids like this. We have good talent now, and some outstanding youngsters being developed too. It's so very different than the rotten WR corps of the past.

Very true. In 2 seasons we went from crap for receivers to having a stable. Amazing.

And to think he can't even go into the hotel bar to drink. I wonder if his mom picks him up after practice?

At the time I thought it could end up being a great pick, now that the kid made the team we will find out if it will pay dividends.I think it will, by what we`ve seen so far.We have alot of Vets to show him the way and also to keep him in his place if he starts to get uppity.

I'm excited about him, Tolliver(even if it is next year) and Anderson. We finally have 3 young WR, not including Jeffery that look to be developing nicely....and only 1 was a high round pick(Jeffery in the 2nd).

Since Ford is making the final roster I'd try to trade Weems for a late round pick. Call me crazy, but I think a team like Frisco or New England would take him. They're both desperate for a receiver and have not great returners.

That would make room for Tolliver. Agree with you JABF, I like this kid. Especially his size and athleticism.

Wilson, Anderson, Tolliver....Emery has done a helluva job finding promising WR prospects (with SIZE too) using 1 7th round pick and 2 udfa signings. That's in only 18 months, fellas. JA didn't accomplish that in 8 years. We got a stable of young guys at the bottom of the depth chart poised to move up over the next few years.

I'm in general really excited to see how many furture starters we'll have gotten out of the 2013 draft, right now it does look very promissing with Long, Mills, Bostic and then hopefully Wilson, Greene and Washinton throw in Ford aswell! :)

Emery improved his drafting a hell lot from 2012 to 2013 imo.

Right now I feel like I'm losing my mind waiting for the regular season to begin. I am so ready for football again.
