Another homecoming: Bears agree to terms with DL Israel Idonije, per league source.

Izzy is an older, healthier Wootten. Good for depth down the line.

Let's hope he can actually still play at an NFL level

Izzy is a good signing. I believe he still has a little gas left in the tank. The fight at DE just got interesting for a roster spot.

This was a good signing. I see him as an upgrade over both of the two backup level guys (Lane and Scott) Emery signed earlier. This looks like the end of the line for Wootton. I doubt they'd have brought Izzy back if they intended to sign Wootton too. I still wonder what's up with that. The kid has been productive these past two years so either he's hurt worse than I've thought of he's in somebodies doghouse for something.

Great for Depth and he has been a part of a very good group of blockers on Special Team, and he has had some blocks in the past also.

Now maybe Urlacher can shut his hole!

He's nowhere close to being cleared yet, which is why you haven't heard about the Bears or any other team signing him.

I guess Detroit doesn't need Izzy now that Tucker & Co. aren't using Lovie's lingo another for stunts, pulls, etc.

I see it similarly, Soul. Since I can't imagine CW would be all that expensive (he isn't anywhere near cleared and no team is pursuing him) to retain, I gotta believe that the FO believes his injury is serious enough to question his availability for July. Can't go into camp signing a guy who can't play yet. Izzy seems like insurance to me.

I believe he's gonna play more at DT to help plug up the middle and stop the run, we definitely don't want to go thru that again next season with teams running at will against our defense.....probably will be situational at DE as pass rusher.

He was always one of my favorite "lunch pale" Bears. Getting long in the tooth, but welcome home Izzy.

I think there is a chance people remember Izzy being better than he actually was. We will see how good he actually still is if he makes the team.
