Title says it, what you think will happen with him and what should happen?

I would draft a QB around round 3 or 4 and would give this guy some time while keeping Cutler for the next 2-3 years

I definitely think we need to draft a developmental QB in rounds 3-5 this year, but I think Cutler will be around here for years to come.

First of all, Blanchard must be kept. Don't care if he's on the PUP list or PS. He's shown that he's got potential and we really need him for the next season.

Then I would suggest drafting a QB in 2014 since the QB class is one of the best we've seen in a long time. As third QB he could practice and even battle Blanchard for the backup spot if he's good enough. Tajh Boyd, Aaron Murray, AJ McCarron, Bryan Renner, Devin Gardner, Brett Smith are all projected to be mid round selections, except Boyd who's probably gonna go in the second round.

And last but no least, Cutler will be our QB in 2013 AND 2014. If he rocks in 2013 he'll get an extension. If he's average he'll also get an extension. If he sucks he'll play under the tag because there won't be anyone else ready for 2014. It's simple as that folks.

Apparently last yr when he was put on PS 4 other teams had interest in Blanchard, I can see Pup, but I'm not sure he'll make it to PS again.

PUP or Roster... we won't give other teams the chance to get him

Blanchard has shown quite a bit of development since last year, but not sure he is more talented than some of the guys that will be available in the middle of the draft next year. I still think we take one in the middle of the draft, and Trestman makes him his developmental project to either trade later or replace Cutler in 3 years.

There are so many good QBs in the upcoming draft that if we draft again at 20, it will be really hard to not pass on one. If we make the playoffs, Cutler stays. If he does not take us to the playoffs and we have a dismal year with less than 5 wins, he is gone. However, Emery likes Cutler.

But what if he throws for 4000 yards, 50 TDs 0 INTs.... but the defense shits the bed and the Bears lose 8+ games because the defense can't stop anyone?

I know, wont happen that way. But you cannot go off wins or losses

Remember when Lovie was posting losing records and the D was still good? We were calling for his dismissal.

Benj then Cutler will be a completely different qb then anyone has ever seen....and I'll call total fluke and hope someone else over pays for him b/c there is no way he'll ever match that play.

But point taken, i'm not worried about win's and losses or playoffs, I'm concerned w/how he looks, is he still forcing throws to guys in bracket coverage when others are then left open, how does he play in games that are going to actually matter for the div title and WC spots, ie GB and other WC teams. For me that will matter more then anything.

If they do not sign him, his career is virtually over and he it will be proven that the JC experiment was a failure. He only wasted our time while here. We could have drafted Flacco instead of him.

As much as I rag on Cutler here, I have to confess that just now, I just drafted him for my FF team. And I'm sober. Crazy, but sober. :)

If the Bears will not sign him, where do you think he will go? Will he be a starter where he goes or will he just end up being a backup like Orton for the Cowgirls?

I am sure there are a number of teams that would love to have Cutler as their QB. He is easily a top 15 QB, but I'd probably put him top 10

Cutler will get a 20mil guaranteed contract from some team if the Bears don't want him. It took Campbell like 2 or 3 teams to figure out he wasn't starting material,Cutler is way more talented then that so he should well get 3-4 teams.

Cutler would get snapped up in an instant. I mean, hell... who wouldn't want the face of their franchise to be a media darling like Cutler. LOL!
