Mccown has been a respectable back up QB. I owe him an apology too.

Josh McCown is doing his best Rich Gannon 2.0 Impression thanks to Trestman.

MCown is living proof that Trestman really is the QB Guru/Whisperer.

The post game interview of McCown by the ESPN staff was really cool. What a humble guy. What an amazing veteran to have in your locker room. He said he was "just the backup" and was so humble........he said he learned a lot from his high school boys he coached and it made him a better QB this time around. He had a lot to say about Trestman that made me realize just how great he is as a coach. This Trestman really DOES develop players..........I had gotten to the point that I just was used to players not being developed in Chicago (we had to go out and buy guys like we did with Cutler). But now we have the guy who can even turn a McCown into a solid QB.

That was a good game by McCown. I still need to give a lot of credit to Trestman for getting him prepared.

I thought the play calling was outstanding, and the fact that they actually set up the run game by passing the ball early in the game. Those Draw plays Never work unless there is a legitimate threat to pass the ball. They DID run some "read option" on a few plays but McCown did not keep the ball watch for that next week.

The O-lineman got a chance to actually grind it out at the end of the game and that was possibly some of the best run blocking they have done all year, against a VERY BIG RUN STUFFING D-line of the Packers.

I must say CONGRATS to Emery, Trestman and Kromer we officially have an Offensive line!!!

For my portion of crow, I will wear McCown as my avatar for as long as he is the starter this year, until Jay comes back

Last season McCown would have looked terrible. Systems matter. Now we have a qb friendly system and a not so friendly safety/D-line/defensive/ system.

One day we'll have it all :(

I hope when he retires someone picks him up as a member of their Coaching staff.
