matt, mike, out of the league in 2-3 years b/c he's now under Lovie...does it really matter?
I'm willing to bet you are right!
Lovie's game control mindset will make him look like Rex Grossman. :D
I wish all the best for Mccown, but the Bucs don't have the offensive weapons the Bears have and i think Mccown will struggle trying to make the Bucs offense look at least halfway decent.
this was all money, starter is always questionable, besides he was sort of a starter here... but who can blame him, now or never
Congrats to Josh on the big money deal, don't blame him one bit for taking his last shot at the most money he could get. He just equaled the Cassel deal--$10m over 2 years. That seems to be the new normal among the high end vet backup market. It's $4-5m/yr now going forward.
Whether Mc "starts" or not, Lovie a QB-killer as a coach so I don't expect him to see much success there. Good luck with that.
No offense, but Matt Cassell is much better than Josh McCown...it's not really close.
on a side note the Bears keep getting saved by other teams.
I'm certain they were going to over pay for Bennett, and if reports are true Michael turned down more money from the Bears to return to Sea so I feel safe in saying that.
Tampa WAY over pays for Johnson then spends a ton on a CB(meaning Tillman might well be back)
NO's is now going to trade Sproles so that seems to be a good thing b/c the Bears will not be in the market for that.
Now TB again throws a lifeline to the Bears by overpaying for 1 good season from McCown.
Maybe Lovie still loves the Bears afterall.
Emery get on the phone w/Tillman offer him a 1-2 year deal for a few mill each year and see what happens.
I would agree, and younger too correct?
I was just comparing their new deals. Basically the same.
Yeah, Cassell is 31.
