I am starting to almost feel sorry for Josh, not quite, but close. His agent tell him it was TB and Love?

Agree completely, and since we added depth cheaply so far, I'd rather Derrell Revis come to Chicago on a "good behavior" contract. If not, I'll take Peanut in a heaartbeat.

Why not try to get both? Stein can figure a way to work both into the cap

Well, we have Jennings already, and unless Tillman changes his mind about playing safety, we'd have 3 stacked without a real nickel back. If that were possible, though, we'd be serious contenders, barring injury.

We aren't getting Revis fellas. Heck I hope we can get Peanut back and that's hanging by a thread.

Jennings could be a solid backup, make a nice three man rotation

Well, it was fun to dream while it lasted.

Revis to the Pats. One year $12M

Well, Revis is now in my top 5 hated HOF:

    1. Favre
    2. Grossman
    3. Testaverde (blew the lead in the '98 AFC championship)
    4. Revis
    5. Alex Gonzalez (the guy who screwed the pooch in the 2003 NLCS)

I think he is my number one. Had that guy just turned a routine double play Cubs would have made the World Series

Honestly, Favre should switch places with him on that list. I hate Favre with a zealotry only seen in Islamic terrorists, but Favre never cost us a super bowl or a world series. BTW, my blood boils any time I think of that inning.

And a good scenario on why to be patient in FA and see how it shakes out. No need to get frazzled or in a hurry and overspend. Even some unforseen opportunities can occur if one is patient.

Good for Josh...bad for the Bucs. Hard to get a fan base excited about a journeyman backup. No weapons, brain dead head coach, and and a questionable offensive line. Hell, this year McCown's last name could be Grossman, or Burris, or Quinn.

Lovie could fast track himself out of a job quickly the way things are shaping up in Tampa.

    2. Wannstedt
    3. Wannstedt
    4. Dr. Phil

This is unfortunate. Josh served us well and we know it's not a matter of "if" Jay gets hurt but "when". Hopefully we will get a kid in the draft that Trestman can work magic on.

I agree with most of you that what TB payed was too high. Besides, where are all the people that said "he'll finish his career in Chicago"? That was said about a lot of Bears (Hester, Tillman, McCown).

What's more disturbing is Lovie trying to "recreate" the Bears. It borderlines creepy. I hope when we meet, we can show em that there is only on true "Bears" team.

I'll take care of that filthy Katy Perry. Burris can handle the rest.

To be fair, I don;t think they over paid for Verner at all. I think that deal was cheap for a guy who was the best corner on the market.
