Completely agree with you JABF99. I have to say, I'm incredibly impressed how well Long & Mills have played so far. They had some real good moments vs. the Steelers. If these guys can hold their own, than I think we got some real players on that right side. This is going to be a tough test for those guys. I'm anxious how they handle this matchup on the road.

Great test for the line and esp long. I can't wait to see what we really are made of up front. Could be a statement game for Long and co.

Long seems like he's able to handle the physical aspect of Suh's play. The only thing I worry about Suh, is that he is a cheap-shot dirty player. I seriously worry about him taking out a knee on Long or something like that. He doesn't really care about the fines. They've tried "progressive discipline" on the guy, but ultimately they'll have to give him a long suspension when he cheap-shots the next player. I gripe about Goodell and the fines, but in Suh's case, I'm 100% behind Goodell.

I wonder if because of Suh to give Long & Mills some help if the Bears will run more 2 TE sets than normal?

How many times has JCut been sacked compared to this time last year?

Yeah the SUH compared to anybody NEW on this BEARS OL ...

we will have to see this played out is why they play the game.

I think our OL is going to hold their own.

It has been decades since we saw an OL like this.

MILLS ? That was genuis ... so far.

Lets be honest ... we expected a 7th round draft pick to anchor that spot.

Gentlemen we could be on to somthing new .

I think the real test of out OLine against Detroit will be establishing a run. Long & Mills have shown that they can pass pro in the NFL, but we NEED to start rushing better than 3.8 YDS/A. We rank middle of the pack in all rushing categories but YDS/A (in the 20s). So far Trestman has been using the pass to set up the rush it seems considering how many times we pass on first down. This might be the game to go run heavy to try to wear down Detroit's DLine since the don't rotate players as much as other team.

It looks to me, like the pass blocking is a lot better than the run blocking at this point. Often the line is not opening much up front, especially between the tackles. Hopefully this is the next step the OL takes, and it begins to do better here.
