Looks like Dallas will be sweeping out their D coaches. Would you like to see Marinelli back?

Rod will be looking for work at the end of the season. Do you think the Bears should try to get him back? I realize he didn't want to stay right after Lovie was let go. But a year later, he may be willing to come back to Chicago. Do you want to see him back?

    Nah.

Most of his "loyalists" will be gone. Bears will have a lot of new players on defense and they may well be running a different scheme.

Also remember, while he was the DC, Lovie ran the defense.

Much like Kromer may be the OC in title, but it is Trestman's offense and he runs it

If lovie is a HC next year Rod will be there.

And no I don't want him back, he looked good b/c of the All pro in Peppers on the DL, and 2 All pro LB's in the middle and 2 all pro CB's in the back

No. Trestman offered to let him stay on as DC, and he wanted to pass it up, for Dallas. Tucker has been doing a much better job since calling plays from the field, and I have a feeling the D is actually getting better, not worse, with him, despite all the injuries.

Nope. Its a new era, it serves no purpose to bring back a recent coach, it will only create discord and tension in the locker room

No. a few weeks ago I thought about getting him back as DL coach - based on his reputation and how far we've fallen since he left. But was it really him or were our guys just playing better? McC stinks and isn't getting better. Peppers is washed up, and is probably the main reason Flyrod looked good as a coach. How is Dallas' line looking? Not so good. Flyrod is Tice without the magic pixie dust.

no, not really. I feel he is better than Tucker, but I honestly don't think he is top tier kind of talent. But I would like to see Tucker go.

The way the media builds him up I think Dallas makes him their DC. But no I wouldn't want him here in Chicago.

I agree with this entirely. It would interesting to see if Trestman is better at picking DCs than Lovie was at picking OCs. It wouldn't surprise me though if Tucker gets the "age and injury pass" and is retained.

As a DL position coach but only a few YEARS from now and thats a maybe. Dust from the last regime still hasn't settled. Saints have just about posterized everyone so I don't know if Kiffen and co. would get canned b/c of that.

It seems the injury bug got us and the Cowboys and the Giants and ... a shitload.

The people after ten weeks to hire as DEFENSE coaches are all in Kansas City ...

the flavor of the season so far.

What the pisser is is that after all the years of drafting defense you would think some of them would be around right now instead of injured

    or off the team.

We spend one draft and F.A. getting an OL only to have the DEFENSE dissapear. It drives yah nuts !
