He also said the same thing about Devin Hester. And we all know how that ended

If Wilson can be half as explosive as AJ came on last year we can have an offense that can do some serious damage. If Wilson can just develop into a reliable 2-4 catch a game guy with the threat to take advantage of one on one situations with NBs then that corps would be almost unstoppable even of the likes of Sea's defensive backfield.

And that's the thing Grizz, and one of the reasons that Bennett isn't here, that 3rd WR just is not going to get enough carries to earn a big paycheck; Forte/Marshal/Jeffery/DoOD are all well ahead of the 3rd WR in receptions. So Wilson will have to be able to go out there and run routes knowing w/he's a decoy until his # is called.

Its really a great position for him to be in. 2nd year guy who will fly under the radar and be on the last page of the scouting report every single week. Never will have coverage designed or rolled to him and the gameplan likely wont have his name in it. He doesn't have force production nor are we going to ask him to play above what he is ready/can do. What he can do is use all this to really make a defense pay from time to time and capitalize on any opportunity these factors provide.

I think Jay likes this kid too. I can't wait to see how the offense progresses into year 2! They are not going into camp with a new coach, new system, and finding their identity as the year starts. They are trusting the system more. It really will be fun to watch. (I can't believe I'm finally saying that about the offense! About time!) Pray no major injuries; we really escaped last year.
