I really haven't paid attention to any prospect outside of Johnny Manziel (I've been watching him off and on through his time in college), and so I'm not going to pretend I know WHO is best for the team (none of us know, and it's really a fruitless task to act like we know to any extent), but having watched our team, I can clearly say that NT is absolutely a need, and if I were to pick, would be my number 1 position to fix in the draft. Using our #1 pick on such a player, logically would be what I want, and since I trust Mayock, Jernigan is officially who I hope the Bears draft.

do you really? do you mind if I ask why? (serious question)
I've watched him over the last few drafts and he never seems to be right or even in the same ball park. didn't he have us taking Te'o last year in the first round? something about that guy rubs me wrong. then again, it could just be me.

dude, trust me, I don't know enough about Mayock to really judge. I just wondered if you knew something about him that I didn't.

It had somthing to do with finding a cheeseburger in Chicagoland at 2:00 am.

My best bet ... if its still there ... is the White Castle at Western and Armitage.

Right across the street from it was this cool hotdog joint that ran all night.

You could get those greasy little tamales there and a great CHICAGO DAWG!

    Good french fries too.

I really hope that there is no "sprinting" and that Emery and co. buoyed the draft enough through FA that he has enough tactical flexibility to take relevant picks and not to draft desperate.

Let our scouts wine and dine them on a food trip to Chicago.

Oh wait that already happened ... last years BEARS defense.

How about if we just bring them in and give them a bag of Doritos and a one year contract ?

No one can possibly guess on what Emery is going to do, first 2 drafts completely through standard draft practices out the window so I wouldn't hold anything against a draft guy. And really these guys aren't trying to predict how the draft will go, but what a team might do based on their actual needs, and assessing the talent available so I would never hold it against them that the draft didn't go down as they expected.

Jernigan would be a good pick at a position of need.

I'm really interested to see how Emery does with the 14th pick. His first two years he was picking at 19 and 20, and at that point all of the projected top ten talent was gone so he reached (both Shea and Kyle were reaching).

With the 14th Pick we are going to see someone drop to us and that could make it even tougher on Emery if it is not a position of need OR if more than 1 position of need is there for example; Mosley, Hageman, Jernigan, and Nix are all there.

I guess you put together your board and stick to it OR you intertain offers should they come in based upon who is still on the board.

Imagine if Manziel is still on the board when we have the Pick and Someone is willing to give you the later 1 and a 2nd round pick. Having the 14th Pick all of this could actually happen. It is going to be a tough decision, but much better than reaching on a guy because all other options are not a desirable.

Its going to be fun or infuriating.

not exactly true Last year Minny got 2 guys that were projected top ten-15 in Floyd and Rhodes. The ability to grab real value was there last year, but it appeared that he knew what he was going to and wasn't looking at how the board was falling.

Last years draft is an anomaly. Outside of a few o linemen, there were no elite talents. Heck, one could argue only one of last year's top picks would be considered a blue chip talent this year.

They are saying the same thing about the draft this year.

What do you mean by that? No elite talent outside of a linemen?
