Per EPSN NFL Insiders. Adam Schefter reporting. GLORY GLORY HALLELUJAH!!!!!!! I AM A "MCCOWN MAN!" I am "DOWN with MCCOWN" and if he leads us to a Super Bowl this year, I will be more than willing (along with Henry) to GO DOWN ON MCCOWN!!! yeah, that's right, I said it. ANYONE got a problem with that?!! ......:mad::mad:

    Anyway, here's the ESPN Story:

    http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/stor...-bears-high-ankle-sprain-considered-week-week

Anyone who is the least bit familiar with human anatomy realizes that high ankle sprains are the WORST. Really balky injuries which take time to heal. Between the groin and the ankle, I wouldn't be surprised if Jay is out for longer than just this week.

Doesn't surprise me. Cutler screwed himself by trying to push it.

The "bigger" question is, will Jay start another game for the Bears?

I am not a huge fan of Cutler's but worst-case scenario (for him) is Emery deciding to franchise in the off-season, so I think he will definitely be back for at least one more year. I honestly don't see how Emery could commit to Cutler long-term after this year, but I also don't think we are going to be starting McCown or a "Draft Project" next year under center, so Cutler comes back and tries to (yet again) prove that he is a franchise NFL QB.

Josh McCown, as fluidly as he plays in this offense, isn't good enough to keep a starting job, full time. The Packers have injuries depleting their defense, and the Lions have one of the weakest pass rushes in the NFL(worse than ours), so him playing against cupcake defenses is a setup for disappointment once his lobs (he's not thrown a tight spiral yet, despite how well he's played) become intercepted by better defenses. That we're going on a weaker string of opponents, will only add to the facade of the starter "fitting" the offense better than the starter. Jay, for all his faults, is the best quarterback on this team, and gives us the best chance of winning, but seeing as how he stayed in the game past when he should have been pulled, it's easier to see a connection between his play and the loss.

Josh throws the ball with anticipation, no matter how ugly the ball is passed it is catching the defender AND the WR off guard when it comes. The difference is the WR knows when it should be coming. Josh will get into trouble when the initial read is well covered and he must go to the second or third read then he does not have the velocity to avoid getting picked.

BUT so far Josh is playing smart. Tell me he does not remind you of Alex Smith?

I noticed his odd throwing style vs Green Bay. Almost looks like he has a windup that resembles a pitcher in baseball

With defenses banged up as they are, when we finally play a secondary not hindered by injuries, his softer delivery will be easier to intercept.
