Now we have a 242 lb linebacker. This could end up being a disaster but I'll be rooting for ole' Seamus. He's put the work in (I was the one wondering if he's sitting on his farm chasing chickens), apparently, he's been working hard. Good for him. Can't wait to see what happens.....

Hoping Shea was not a bad pick. I looked back at the draft stuff a while back and he was projected as a OLB all the way. Hopefully going to his natural position will justify his 1st rd status. Good to see he appears to realize this is his chance to either shine or go down as a bust. I am rooting for the sun to shine.

Now he looks like a pro football player instead of a HS player/farm kid. If he was a fast as he was looking like the before imagine what he could be like as a "seek and destroy" LB and edge rusher.

That was a nice find L. There's quite a difference in the before and after. I need to look this guy Scott up. LOL

looks like he lost too much weight. Think I can see the dudes ribs.

Should have toned and built instead of losing weight I think.

Just looks to me like he made him lose his baby fat and turned him into a "lean mean fightin' machine".

If he's at 242lbs he about as perfect for a SLB/Edge Rusher as you could get and it's gonna be a lot easier to add 5 lbs more of solid muscle to that now that his body fat is as low as it is. That old body was like a HS player not an NFL pro. No wonder he got tossed around.

I feel bad for this kid. The Bears have utterly mismanaged his career thus far by forcing him to play a position he never should have been drafted for. If he had been picked by a 3-4 team to play OLB, he'd probably be a pretty solid player by now with two seasons experience under his belt. I hope he can make up for lost time and be productive in his new (proper) role. I'm sure he knows that his future depends a lot upon him showing some worth this year.

I'm struck by how SMALL he looks in those photos even before he shed the baby fat. Not that he's a small guy, just he looks way too small to be a DE. What a cluster-f**k that whole experiment was.

yeah.. for a football player, he almost looks fragile. And he is the one that is supposed to be doing the hitting!
