I still don't think that making the playoffs was unreasonable thinking.

There is no way I'm throwing in the towel yet. Too early and a lot of games to play. We'll get there! Have faith!

What happens to the Lions if Megatron or Stafford get injured? The Lions are in the driver's seat, but they aren't at the finish line.

    That's an excellent point.

Of course, anything could happen. Cam Newton could go down, R Bush could stub his toe, Michael Vick could come back, half the NO Saints team could get suspended (oh, wait that already happened), Kaepernick could get an infection from one of his tats, Josh McCown could win MVP . So I guess we need to play out the string. But don't buy your SB tickets yet.

We don't play a team that is over .500 right now so I can't see why we at least don't have a shot at the playoffs.

I'm not disappointed with that outlook. Given that the Bears brought in a new coaching staff, I didn't expect much from them this season. I took it as kind of a rebuild year without being utterly horrible.

How many years can we use that excuse?

First we brought in a new GM (Angelo)didn't win
New Head Coach (Lovie), didn't win
Then a new QB (Cutler), didn't win
Then a new OC (Martz) didn't win
Then new OC (Tice) didn't win
Then new GM (Emery) didn't win
Now new Head Coach, etc. - may not win

Hey guys, I am getting old. How many more years can we wait for all the pieces to fall into place? A SB appearance every 23 years just doesn't cut it. I know that we have no control over it but I don't want to wear a Packers jersey, or a 49rs jersey or Pats hat.

Joe, man I feel ya, I'm that way w/the Cubs, I just cannot care anymore. There are tons of Cowboy fans that feel the same way you do.

But the reality is that the Bears took a huge step forward w/Trestman, as much as no one could have expected the D to be this bad, no one could have expected the O to look this good. I know I've said for awhile the D needed an overhaul, and it just didn't happen soon enough.
