    Walter Payton and Brandon Marshall.

Although AJ and the Black Unicorn deserve mentioning as 1st and 2nd runner ups.

Sweetness and P-Nut, I know he's technically an FA, but FA hasn't started yet.

    Hard question.
    Past:
There have been so many, I still hold Walter up on a pedestal, the guy was SSSOOO fun to watch and he was always the epitome of class. However, I have to stick with my childhood idol, and that was Butkus. There were so many runner's up like Wilber Marshall, Mike Singeltary,Dan Hampton, the entire early 80's OLine (Covert, Thayer, Hilgy, Bortz, Van Horne), but I still stand by Butkus.

    Present:
We have a pretty likeable team right now, especially on offense. My favorite for now remains Peanut Tillman, and I'm pretty fond of Lance Briggs, but I really like Brandon Marshall as the leader he's become to some of the young guys and the quiet excellence of Alshon Jeffrey. However, I am really liking Long, which is odd because I hated the pick at first, but this guy not only brings quality to his play, but that enforcer mentality that SOMEONE has to have on the O-Line. So, until he is no longer a Bear, I pick Peanut, but I think Long inches out some of the other guys by a nose. I also really like Marty Bennet, and I'll like him even more if he talks his brother in to coming to Chicago.

I don't go back that far so Hester is my all time favorite, and Kyle Long is my current.
Kyle Long, seems like such a great guy and leader. Also I seem to have developed a fetish for Olinemens after we actually got an oline.

Fencik was another class-act as a Bear. Another one was Matt Suhey. I loved watching Matt play. Just a blue-collar "get 'er done" player who blocked so well over the years for Walter Payton.

I just found the original article "Watching Our For Walter".....in case anyone is interested, here it is. I realize that many here never had a chance to watch Suhey & Peyton play. It was a beautiful thing to watch. Walter (deservedly) got all the attention and kudos. But often, the guy doing the blocking for him was Matt Suhey. Together they made one heck of an RB team. And when teams sold out on stopping Walter, there were times when Matt got us the needed yardage to move the chains. I'll go to the grave with some of my best memories of the NFL being of these two guys.
