I'm sure some are wondering why their bookmarks no longer work.

I have setup a front homepage for DBS. This will allow us to provide original content as well as a better marketing experience for the site.

Please update your bookmarks if you like.

I think you will find the front page to be clean and simple.

If you have any questions please let me know.

I noticed that there is now a header that remains when I scroll through a thread. I usually access the site with a laptop that has a smaller screen, so that header takes up space that doesn't leave as much area for the actual thread. I feel like I'm trying to read the threads in a tiny window now.

    1. Is there a way for us to turn this feature off for laptop users?

    2. Or, maybe did I inadvertently done omething really stupid and turned this feature on myself by clicking on a button or something?

    3. I tried going under "preferences" and choosing a different format, but the header is in place no matter what I choose.

    Thanks for any help.

hmmm. I'm on my phone and I have a far amount of space.

the navigation menu remains at the top. The header (image) should be gone. The menu that remains should be very small.

like I said, I'm on my phone right now and the screen is ample.

can u send me a screenshot so I can see how much space we're talking about?

Here's a screen shot. The orange and blue header remains when you try to scroll. It's not that big of a deal. I was thinking maybe I clicked on something I shouldn't have and started this by mistake. Also, I tried to pick something in "Preferences" that would maybe give me more area to view the actual thread, but couldn't figure out a better setup there. It's not that big of a deal though. I'm an old geezer so I'm one step away from reading threads in Braille anyway

I'm excited about the original content. We've got more than a few people here who are great storytellers and more than a few that have great "takes" on matters. We probably even have a few that are good at both......

Ski, I think I've been able to adjust my browser so that it's okay. I'm experimenting with Linux Mint as an operating system and I'm still getting used to it, and the browser I'm using is Firefox, but the Linux version. I also, just now, tried another browser and it gave me more real estate to view the thread too. That browser was Chromium....not Chrome, but Chromium. I think I'm "good' now.

Sorry to have bothered you with this.

there was no change to the header or anything. So I'm guessing its a resolution issue.

the only thing I changed was adding a front page to the site. It no longer loads into the forums.
