Exactly, Hard Knocks won't matter to a strong team with a good coaching foundation and team leaders in the locker room.

Which is precisely what the Bears have.

For those that seem to think it would be a distraction, have you really watch previous series?

It is along the lines of a serious documentary, not a reality show.

There is no way in hell they are going to allow the HBO crew to say "cut, let's do that again" when it comes to the player - coach relationship.

NFL network is running previous years, go take a look. It just simply does not seem that intrusive. To me it seems like a documentary that you might get if Larry Mayer was putting it together.

Sorry, but i would love, love, LOVE, to see the Bears on HArdknocks!!!!!

I could not agree more. Hard Knocks is not some reality show the likes of Real Housewives, Survivor, or Jersey Shore. It is a documentary program.

It is nowhere near the distraction that could ruin our season that some are making it out to be.

With that said, if the Bears were on Hard Knocks I would absolutely love to watch. But, I'm in no way advocating for them to be on Hard Knocks. If they get chosen then good. If not, oh well.

It's not about an absolute. If even the small possibility of a distraction is there we don't need it. If it was such a good thing why are the Bears resisting it as opposed to welcoming that attention?

Other than the FACT that Bears are opposed to it what FACT am I trying to pass off BIM?

Logic and reason? You call a list of past results logic and reason. WTF does that have to do with the Bears in 2014? Nothing that's what. What happened then has no bearing on now and the present circumstances. If you said that THIS team appeared on Hard Knocks in 2013 and still went to the playoffs last year you might have a point but you don't because that didn't happen.

If you think it's a good idea well then you think it's a good idea. You're as entitled to that opinion as I am to mine. If you don't share mine that's fine but don't come around putting words in my mouth with this lame shit about passing off gut opinion as facts. The only fact here is that I'm opposed to it. I don't need anything other than that.

I don't believe that's true and I'll stick with that. Opinions are never wrong. They're just opinions.

Let me just add for the sake of putting an end to this debate that it wouldn't make a damn bit of difference if I was the ONLY one around here who felt this way. IMHO it's not a good thing for this team this year and I don't need anyone to confirm that for me. I can live with that thought.

I am slightly against it. I think it would be cool to get to watch it with the Bears on it, but I do think its a distraction to camp. I'm fine with watching some other team on hard knocks, and watching the Bears win football games on Sundays.

That being said, I think the Bears will end up on it unless a team steps up and requests it. Cleveland being the likely suspect.

Bears are not #1 candidates, this article was simply an opinion piece of the author, who clearly stated in the beginning that he has no inside knowledge of who will be picked.

With that being said, would love to see the Bears on it.
