    WEEK 1 RECAP: TUESDAY EDITION

It's all Just a Joke Waxes GrizzlyBear, Establishes Early-Season Dominance

    • Updated: Tuesday September 09, 2014 3:01:09 PM CDT
It's all Just a Joke annihilated GrizzlyBear 128.34 to 62.02 while putting up the highest score of the week. It's all Just a Joke took a 40.42-point lead on Sunday afternoon and never looked back. It's all Just a Joke piled up 30.7% more points than projected (98.16) while GrizzlyBear performed poorly and scored only 64.8% of their projected 95.70 points. It's all Just a Joke kicks off the season in first place, while GrizzlyBear starts out in last place.
Both squads had a starter that let some chances slip through his hands. For It's all Just a Joke, T.Y. Hilton saw a total of 11 targets, but was able to reel in just five catches. Torrey Smith put on a similar showing for GrizzlyBear, as he was able to snag three passes on seven targets.
In addition to the fantasy W, It's all Just a Joke was savvy enough to pick winners in real life, as well. Among all of their starters, Hilton is the only one whose NFL team didn't win in Week 1.
In Week 2, It's all Just a Joke squares off against Angry Pollocks (1-0, 95.46), while GrizzlyBear battles Belly's Boys (0-1, 62.38).

Grin and Bear It Brings Down busch league

    • Updated: Tuesday September 09, 2014 3:01:11 PM CST
Marshawn Lynch scored two touchdowns (24.40 points) and Russell Wilson added 22.54 points as Grin and Bear It got past busch league 106.74 to 100.82. Grin and Bear It took a 40.94-point lead on Thursday and maintained an advantage throughout the matchup. Both teams played better than expected but Grin and Bear It put up 56.6% more than a projected 68.18 points to get the win. Grin and Bear It kicks off the season in third place. busch league opens in seventh place.
Breaking down the match, busch league should place the blame on their tight end, Jimmy Graham. The New Orleans TE was projected to put up 15.10 points, actually produced 8.20, and that difference was enough for Grin and Bear It to take the win.
Grin and Bear It takes on Valhalla Vagrants (0-1, 83.06) next week, while busch league matches up against EyeHeartDaBears (1-0, 93.46).
