I really don't expect Devin to be here this year. I appreciate the good things he did for us over the years though. He sure has been exciting to watch on returns.

I wish he coulda broke the record for all purpose returns in a Bears uni. Just one of those called back returns counting and he'd have it. Ah well. He was sure fun as hell to watch, I still get chills watching his highlights.

No matter where he goes he'll always be the Windy City Flyer to me.

No loss as terms of the future of the team. But the memories are priceless.

Will be interesting to see what a return specialist will get on the open market. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in Tampa with DJ Moore & Steve Maneri.... and probably Peanut.

No real surprise here, Hester and Weems are (hopefully) as good as gone. Chris Williams is younger and cheaper, and we need every single penny in the offseason.

You were great back when, but what can you do for me today and tomorrow? Not enough he's gone.
To the above if goes to Tampa does he become the #1 receiver?

If this Chris Williams kid 'sticks' on the roster, I'm going to have to get used to his name. Every time I see the name Chris Williams, I think of a barn and a not so good 1st rounder.

What if Hester, Peppers and Peanut are all playing for the Bucs next season? :D

They are probably designing the Tampa Bay version of the fearsome "Hester Package" as we speak. The future of the Buccaneers under Lovie Smith hangs in the balance.

Actually, I can see Hester going to K.C. to be w/Toub if the price and their cap are right.

I don't think it's 100% he won't return; in this O system you don't need/use 4 WR's, so to have a few ST specialists on the roster is no biggie.

Problem w/Hester is that even though he's still really good at the return game, the rules have skewed to much against it, and he's lost a few steps. Sad he didn't get the record, but he's still going down as one of the all time greats, and will have changed the game

Sad thing but hey, what ever is best for the franchise and our chances for winning a SB I'm cool with..

"fun" fact I played my first Madden game ever, with a friend today. First kickoff I return it for a TD with Hester, I was a happy man.

I don't think he has lost a few steps, i've seen him outrun plenty of players on his returns this year. I think it has more to do with the rule changes, the loss of Toub, and the loss of some of the blockers that used to help open up lanes for him.
