If Safety is the issue then lets go Safety. If DT is the issue then lets go DT.

Lets get somthing done. 31 ranked defense. As long as we get both in the first two rounds.

Followed by two more rounds of Safety/CB and DT. Anybody for LB in the fifth ?

Emery put an Offense together in one year with FA trades and Draft.

All we need is that to be repeated on the "D" side of the ball.

    We are in business !

Why is it even held in NYC in the first place ? NFL was invented in Chicago.

There isnt a venue in Chi-Town big enough to host the event ?

Plus its in the "middle" so easier for all teams to get to.

We always see NYG and Jets fans screaming and a few Philly fans ...

how about giving other teams a chance ?

A CHICAGO venue would draw in two Missouri teams ... Deeetroit ... G.B.,

two Ohio teams ... Pitt ... Minnie ... Indy ... Denver, and BEARS fans.

Of course the city would be reduced to rubble afterwards but it would be worth it !

They wanted to space the events out more evenly per an article I also read. I think the prior event provided the cover they needed.

Well to start the NFL headquarters are in NYC. Two it's the media capital of the world. Three, fans from DC, NYJ, NYG, Buffalo, Pitt, Philly, Baltimore, and New England can easily come to the draft if we want to go that route...plus the ridiculous amount of Dallas fans in the area. As much as I love chicago, and as little as you may want to hear this, NYC offers more.

Chicago and Green Bay duking it out before the season at the draft. Just don't get much better than that.:14 6 12[1]::14 6 16[1]::14 6 5[1]::shoot2::shoot3::shoot5::shoot5::shoot4::shoot9::shoot8::shoot::tornado::voodoo::bouncelaugh::bah:

Isn't the Rosemont Horizon now the Allstate Arena? If the world renowned Allstate Arena is not available we can use the next one on the NFLs "must use" list -- the Vic Theater

All you need to host the NFL draft is an facility/auditorium/concert venue that could hold say a few thousand people in a city with adequate hotel space. Not exactly a big hurdle there. It doesn't have to be at RCMH or in NYC, certainly not every year. So the NFL could have easily relocated this years draft (McCormick Place?) if they had wanted to due to a "scheduling conflict".

That's why I believe the motivation to push it back a few weeks was much more about spreading out NFL events for maximum exposure rather than any other reason.

Had my eye on DT or S for the first pick and someone good dropped so kinda skewed the draft IMO because I don't see any way we land him in the first. Ah well, couldn't pass him up.

had that happen too. First shot at S was similar to what you did, kind of screws up the draft to get players we need but Mack would be tough to pass up if somehow he fell which as you say is not likely to happen
