Talk about jumping the gun.
lol... whom do you direct that question to?
Not to be harping too much, but we've only beaten 6 playoff teams in the last 3 years(The Bengals aren't in the playoffs yet). 7 if you include the game we won against Seattle, who was 7-9, back in 2010. Sure, a new direction is taking place, but the Bears, the last 3 years are essentially equal to a mediocre SEC team when it comes to playing against quality opponents. So, yeah, as hyped up as everyone is about winning last Sunday, there needs to be some lowered/realistic expectations, otherwise there's gonna be some MAJOR heartache this year. Whether that comes from losing to the Packers, or some team that "shouldn't" beat us, predicting Super Bowls this early, WILL cause disappointment when the Bears inevitably get blown out (it happens every year to every team at least once).
Our biggest obstacle isn't winning a bunch of Super Bowls. That part is a "given" but what keeps me awake at night is worrying if Halas Hall's trophy case will be big enough to handle them. If that indeed is a problem, then maybe we can write Larry Mayer and offer to build a nice new (big) trophy case to hold them all. Maybe all of us here could pitch in some cash for the wood (nice stuff, not cheap plywood like Virginia McCaskey would provide) and build something real nice. Make it big enough for 10 to 20 Lombardi Trophies, in case Emery is here 20 or 30 years.
I'm not trying to be mean, but I can't tell if you're joking or not.
early days yet guys to be asking how many Superbowls..since Ditka we have only been once...
Henry I am 100% joking. Just trying to lighten folks up. Being a nut.
Damn... put a emoticon or winky smiley face or something on those things. I was starting to think we might need to call professional help to get your taken to the ward...
