He said he had a bit of practice with the 1st team defense today and is "good to go" now. He will be playing his first NFL game tomorrow. Hopefully the rookie from the Montana State Bobcats, can help the DL tomorrow night.

young guys are going to have to step up big this Thurs, luckily the NYG's OL is just as beat up as the Bears DL.

Even though he's an undrafted rookie, he does have experience playing against Southern Utah, Eastern Washington in the Big Sky Conference. Now that he practiced today with the 1st team players, he's ready to roll tomorrow.

Both Emery and Trestman have their back against the wall on this. We were never really deep at DL and to lose a few more good players for the entire season at near the beginning of the season is not an enviable place to be. Tough to make lemonade with those lemons.

MAYBE Corn Wash and Minter will magically morph into Richard Dent and Tommie Harris (pre-injury)!!! :)

Is Tillman playing? Now I have to check that out.

Edit: He is still questionable as of tonight.

I'm inclined to agree with you, but (this may be an unpopular opinion on here), I don't think our safeties are good enough to force Manning to pass a lot without problems. Every time Conte seems to get an interception, it seems to be because he was at the right place, at the right time. I like him, but I wonder how close he is to his ceiling. I REALLY don't have too much faith in Major Wright. Maybe they need another season to really get going (look how long it took D. Manning to get good here), but this season, I kinda worry about their play some of the time.

I agree with Henry. The key to beating NY is to pressure Manning. Get in his face and he WILL turn the ball over.

I know. I figure these rookies may VERY well end up solid players, or at least solid backups in the NFL down the road. But to think an undrafted kid that is fresh from facing teams like Eastern Washington & Southern Utah - is going to "get in Manning's face" tonight, is probably wishful thinking. I hope he's "Richard Dent II" tonight, but we probably won't see anyone on the DL shine tonight.

I've heard nothing about Corn Wash getting a chance (other than us here), has anyone seen anything on him at all?

If Wooten is going to play inside Peppers and Bass on the right side but McClellin will need some rotation on the left side. Physically, it seems like you would want Corn Wash in on 1st and 2nd downs.

The cool thing is that every year, on some team, there are surprise players that come out of nowhere to light it up. You never know, maybe the DL looks better tonight too. It's not a complete pipe dream. Crazy things do happen in the NFL. That's one reason I like to watch these games.

Will Conte get his butt over there to stop deep pass down sidelines to Victor Cruz? If he does, it will be first time. Watch for it.

It looks like Corn Wash is inactive for tonight.
