Veterans Brian Moorman and Mat McBriar were both part of
#Bears punter tryout today and more were involved.

I am also told Chris Kluwe was part of the #Bears tryout today. May have been up to six punters total.

I am told Drew Butler & Tress Way, who was camp leg this summer, also in on #Bears tryout. All unofficial at this point but that is the word

Drew Butler, of course, is the son of former #Bears K Kevin Butler. Punted for #Steelers last season.

Of those that created a problem for the Bears on Sunday Podlesh is #2 on that list, and he, like most punters, is easily replaceable. No suprises there

I think this is the answer you're looking for...

Adam Podlesh average of 43.5 yards per punt ranks 28th in NFL. Net average of 38.5 is 26th.

I like how fast these guys move when they see problem instead of waiting till next year. Time to fix the problem now.

Dump him. He's overpaid and overrated. Someone call Sauerbrun. At least he could boot it further than those 35yds Podlesh was.

I have never been able to get on board with Podlesh, it seemed like he was always getting the benefit of a good Cover unit. When we are backed up, Podlesh is simply not capable of Booming one 60 yards.

I always thought that Podlesh was ranked pretty high with punts inside the 20.

The ST as a whole has been an utter failure, not just Adam. Now we know why DeCamillis got his pink slip. Having said that, yes, Podlesh is a guy we need an upgrade from. You can't continually lose the battle in punt coverage right off your guy's foot.
