I'd like to see Perry and Lynch get a few returns if Williams isn't going to be able to again next week...or basically anybody not named Eric Seems; I know a Chicago native that played for the Barnstormers this year that can return, Julian Williams

Weems was not very impressive. The announcers seemed more impressed with him than I was.

You're too kind. He fucking sucks and I've been saying that he fucking sucks ever since my huge disappointment that he agreed to that salary cut. I would have rather had Bennett. At least Earl was a decent PR guy.

There is no way in my wildest imagination that I can see the guy making this team in any capacity at all including washing unis and jockstraps after a game. Guys like Weems are the type we used to struggle along with during the JA/Lovie era but there's no room for those guys now and no viable excuse for keeping one like him.

I don't care who they use to return kicks and punts but it shouldn't be him. Not even one more game or one more return. He's pathetic as a KOR/PR and much the same as a WR.

unfortunately so true... but since we are keeping Lovies cover two, maybe Tucker thought he should also be picking players based on Lovies criteria.

I agree, anyone and everyone should get a shot at KR; other then Weems who should only get a shot at cleaning out his locker.

LMAO to all above. It's been a pathetic two games for the bears return game and STs in general. Something needs to change. If Weems gets any 1st half reps next week I'll puke. And he needs to be cut immediately after. I'd get Perry, Carey, and Spurlock some KR looks immediately cuz Bellamy, Ford, and Weems need to be shown the door soon.

The guy I'd like to see them try on KOR is Draughn. He's fast and he's a very smooth runner. He kind of glides through his blocks without breaking stride which is what you want from a KOR.

How is it that Joe D keeps looking for Sunday players and can't see this guy under his nose. Ford had a bobble but he's also far better than Weems and should ge the nod as the #1 KOR next week. As far as a PR with CWill out I don't know who the hell to suggest but it's not Spurlock and it's not Weems.

How can these guys have played football as long as they have and they can't field a fucking punt cleanly? :4 13 13[1]:

Really no reason to keep Weems IMO. A horrible WR and a bad returner now. Yeah, he had some moments in Atlanta bu that's ancient history in the scope of the NFL and he has shown no vision, no explosiveness, and a utter lack of ability to return the ball.

I don't care who gets looks, but I'd rather see Bushrod back there next week over Weems.

I think it's time for these experiments because they sure as hell can't be any worse than weeds.

As far as the punt return spot, maybe the real reason Marshall was catching punts was so he can get ready to fair catch everything in the regular season until Williams is able to play (if he isn't ready before)

I think Draughn, Perry, Ford and Lynch should split each kickoff rep left this preseason and best man gets the job (again this is if Williams isn't ready yet)

At this point, I'm not sure DeCamillis is competent enough to understand he needs to do this.

I think this guy is the weakest coach even next to Tucker in the system.

I believe that also. Problem is that Tucker has a much bigger impact.

I might be over thinking this but I'm really concerned about our returner situation with the Holmes signing. Reading up about him, he struggled to secure the ball when catching kicks with the Steelers and couldn't hold the job with them. Which means to me, he wasn't brought in to do returns, meaning the team thinks they have a competent man on the roster. I wish we all knew who he was or that Emery has something else up his sleeve.

I'd like to see Lynch get a shot as a return man. He plays hard and could even be used to spell the other RB's if needed. I like the kid.
