Going to use this thread to track Robbie's progress towards becoming the most accurate FG Kicker in NFL history.

Currently (Week 1), Robbie has hit 209 of 244, giving him an 85.7 Accuracy percentage, placing him 4th all time behind:

    3.Rob Bironas (85.8)
    2.Nate Kaeding (86.2)
    1.Mike Vanderjagt (86.5)

-If Robbie makes his next 3 FGs, he will surpass Bironas (212 of 247)
-If Robbie makes his next 10 FGs, he will surpass Kaeding (219 of 254)
-If Robbie makes his next 17 FGs, he will surpass Vanderjagt to claim the crown (226 of 261)

Obviously, he does not need to make all of them in a row, this is only the QUICKEST way, and i will update his progress as the season goes.

I hope Gould does get the top spot, he definitely deserves it.......I know kickers from other teams hate coming to Chicago in the winter, especially when the winds are really gusting and the game winning FG is on the line and they have to kick into the wind.....lol

    BUMPITY.

After the Giants game, Robbie is a perfect 10-for-10 on the season, thereby bumping him up to 86.2% accuracy (218-253), tying Nate Kaeding as the second most accurate kicker in NFL history.

Especially impressive when you consider he's kicking at Soldier Field.

I've been to two games over the years where the wind gusts were hitting 40 miles an hour. One was a brutally cold day in December too. I thought we'd die of the cold, but we beat the Packers that day & I didn't want to die before I saw Favre leave the field in defeat. I also learned that you really don't want to spill a beer in your lap on those days......not if you want to have children later in life.

On one field goal attempt, (this one was against the 49'ers on another day), there was a field goal attempt, where the ball curved in-flight and not only missed the goal posts, it missed the net too, and a fan got the ball. Our seats were behind the goal post that day.....but we didn't catch the ball.

Don't forget, he's made it public that he hates the conditions at Soldier Field, so that just shows how good he is.
