If he could hit his potential, we have some real studs. Emery got us some guys with some real ceilings. I hope Pas can get them coached up.

Lets get him trimmed up out there making life miserable for our neighborhood QB's. We need someone to pull a Marshall and get this DL working out and doing it the right way.

Sutton is a very good pass-rusher as well. In 2012, he beat linemen with explosive speed and a nice repertoire of moves. Sutton had 13 sacks as a junior, but saw his production and speed go down as a senior after he gained 15 pounds of bad weight. Once Sutton loses it, he should be back to his old ways.

Honestly though that's something in itself to admit that. It's hard watching players not live up to what you know they can be, shit pisses ya off. Hopefully he tears it up for Chicago in 2014 and beyond so you can forgive him for 2013.

I was thinking the same thing (current guys not making the cuts). I could see Paea being cut for sure. He's never really stood out over the years and always seems to be battle an injury.

I think Paea did what he was asked, stuff the run and let everyone else make plays, but that ends up hurting you as a player., then getting hurt doesn't help

I want to see was Pas can do with him. He is strong as a bull. Maybe he needs better coaching. If not, I'm sure he will go. We have got a pretty full stable now.

Sounds like the Bears are going to make Sutton drop that weight.

Emery said that his ideal weight is between 285-295.

yep, but did say that Sutton could also play shade T, so that's a strong kid at 295 to play NT. Both these kids can play NT/DT, Fuller can play NB/CB/S, a lot of versatility in this draft from Emery, even more then usual.

It really is refreshing not only having a GM who has roots in scouting players, but who also knows what playing weight they should be at so they can perform at their best.

He's at 290 right now and said he can lose another 5/10 pounds if needed.

Angelo's tie was always too tight for him to oxygenate his gray matter.

Just read he was 315 at senior bowl but 303 by combine and during a call said he was down at 295. Sounds committed to being the dominating 2012 version of himself.

I like the pick. He's a smart player and a poor man's Aaron Donald (tough to lose out on him). The main thing with Sutton is they need to keep him motivated and keep his weight down. The closer to 290lbs he plays the better he'll be. He should fit in pretty well in rotation at that 3 tech DT spot.

Heres the pisser that we should consider ,

even tho some NFC NORTH picks worry me ,

what we did in the first three rounds should worry them even more.

Will they change their draft outlook to counter us ?

i.e. Detroit may have wanted some LB but have to switch gears and go OL . etc.

Leaving more space open to us to draft more defense.

ya they should be worried about the Bears, that DL is 100% turned over, there will be no easy running on this team and it is still fully capable of getting pressure on the qb forcing hard throws.

The D scheme, much like last year, is going to be about the DL stopping the run and opening up opertunities for blitzing LB's and CB's, as well as pressure from DE's; and Houston playing DT on passing downs will create pressure on the inside also....this is going to be a D that can get to the qb from every position on the field, and ya O's are going to be worried about where the pressure is coming on any given down.

And Ric we are not done drafting yet.

If we cop another Secondary with the fourth ,

then JJ's dream of GIMME 2!! at both DT and Secondary comes true.

We need one more Secondary ...

to put the FEAR to the bastards in the NFC North.

at some point the Bears need to get a good RB and TE to backup their guys, the 2nd DB can wait imo.
