This guy can catch the ball and doesn't fumble. The only reason he dropped was because off the field issues

The fact that the list of 4.7 HBs in the NFL is an extremely short one hurt him much more than off the field issues.

This is the first pick in this years draft for the Bears that I really like. I expect big things from this pick. Some off field issures but not a big deal. He is the kind of RB we need.

Do you think he has a chance to produce at the pro level? Who are some RB's with 4.7 speed around the NFL?

That's a key factor to me as far as a RB goes. Guys who average over 4 ypc but put the ball on the ground fairly often aren't guys I want as Bears RBs. If this kid can run between the tackles with good power and hold onto the football then we can use him. He's not an edge runner and with Forte we don't need one who can do that. Forte's weakness has always been between the tackles which is what Bush was for. Carey may not have Bush's size but he has enough to be a tough runner if he can stay low and hit holes quickly.

Had to say I called it! Carey is undervalued and an explosive back. Just cause he wears #25 don't compare him with Garrett Wolfe... This guy dominated the collegiate level and will run beastly behind Forte. So beardown!

Yes I do, speed in the 40 isn't the only test of a good RB. He has power and can move the line something Forte can't seem to do.

If it was even possible for our offense to get better... it just did with picking up Carey! Bears fans we are gonna fall in love with this guys play style, I got to see this guy play every game live in college and he does not go down easily. Like I've said in previous forums, he is no Cedric Benson, Michael Bush, Marion Barber, and especially no Garrett Wolfe! Expect him to pile up the YAC (Yards after contact)!
