tl;dr - Saints want to FTag Graham, but they are debating whether or not to tag him as a WR ($12M), or TE ($7M). Part of the arbitration process under the CBA is planning to use his own twitter bio, which he says he is a TE as evidence for tagging him as a TE, not a WR.

    Crazy world.

pretty valid point though, not under negotiations, ya I'm a TE in the NFL, I put TE on all my business cards and on my social interactions I say I'm a TE.
Oh I could get 5 more mil if I say I'm a WR? Fuck it Ima WR now give me my 5mil.

Well, thats part of the problem, even though he says he is a TE, the Saints used him more as a WR, so what does he get paid as, what his business card says, or the job he does on the field?

If you remember, we had the same problem with Hester, he was a WR, but Trestman switched him to strictly KR/PR, so when his contract was up, what should he get paid as? What his title was (WR), or his job? (KR)

no Hester was paid as a WR b/c there was no other way to justify paying a KR/PR that kind of money, even though he was worth it so they also played him at WR to justify the money given to him.

Reality is Graham's a TE, TE's in the new NFL O's line up all over the field, but unlike WR's he's still asked to line up next to the OL and block the D at the LoS, even if it's only occassionally b/c WR's are NEVER asked to do that..

I'm a geologist working at an engineering company. Over time I've gotten to the point where I do significantly more engineering than geology. I'm still paid like a geologist. Get over it Jimmy.

Better watch what you put on Twitter. Like Jimmy Graham did. Really the guy needs to just sign a deal and move on.
