McClellin is going to practice today. Depending on how he does, he may play this Sunday. Hopefully, something clicked and he can start contributing to some pressure (not the type that pushes fans blodd pressure when they see him out there doing nothing). And I hope that the little time off has not taken the edge off of whatever made him perform well against GB. Welcome Back (hopefully)

Shea McClellin expected to return to practice Wednesday

While the Chicago Bears will be without quarterback Jay Cutler this week against the St. Louis Rams, defensive end Shea McClellin may be back after missing the last two games with a strained hamstring.

According to Michael C. Wright of ESPNChicago.com, McClellin is expected to return to practice for the Bears this week.

“Shea should get out this week and start working on Wednesday,” head coach Marc Trestman said.

McClellin was coming off his best performance of the season against the Green Bay Packers when he suffered the injury in practice. McClellin posted three sacks and five tackles in a 27-20 win over the Packers at Lambeau Field. It was McClellin’s first sacks of the season outside of a half sack in the Bears’ season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.

If McClellin can make it through the week of practice without issues he should have a chance to be available against the Rams on Sunday.

ya but it's Shea and when you NEED a guy that has had 1 good game in 1 and 1/2 years makes me feel bad.

I just hope he's figured it out and he continues to play like he did in GB.

I'd be shocked, but very happy if he did continue to play like that.

If he's healed and has a bit more fresh legs I can see him having a good game.

Play him the first quarter. I don't expect him to get any sacks. but if he's not stopping the run, put Bass in there.

Things looking better for Shea. They think he will play Sunday. Frey is going to play in a cast, and Ratliff is definitely out. The way Trestman was talking, I don't think he will play next week either. Hopefully he can get some work in before the end of the season. If we make postseason, he probably won't be any help to us unless he gets at least a game or two in prior.

Unless we feed him some of those Garza donuts. Then he should be ready to go...

I hope that the Bears now understand that Sham Mclellein is a bust. Him on the opposite side of Peppers does not seem to be working. I'd rather see some practice squad guys get some reps. Sham can go play with Conte in the CFL next year.
