    I heard on the radio that the way the contract is structured, the cap hit to the Packers is around 3 mil, and that the contract is year-to-year. If that's true, it's a low-risk deal for Green Bay, and has potential for a pretty good upside. So, why couldn't we get something like that done?

    Yeah you're right, there's a pretty big difference between taking the deal that the packers offered him when he currently didn't have anything better in front of him, compared to trying to get him to take that offer when he's actually got an $18m contract in front of him.
