NFL predictions 2013: Make your picks for Super Bowl, awards and more

    By Sean Yuille @SeanYuille on Sep 3 2013, 6:55p 44

Which team will win the Super Bowl? Who will be named offensive and defensive MVP? It's time to make predictions for the 2013 NFL season.

The 2013 NFL regular season kicks off on Thursday night with the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens taking on the Denver Broncos. The game will mark the official start of the journey toward Super Bowl 48, and it will mark the unofficial deadline for fans to make predictions for the 2013 season.

So, which team will win Super Bowl 48? Who will be named offensive and defensive MVP? Here are my predictions for the 2013 season:

Super Bowl matchup: Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos
    Super Bowl champion: Seahawks
    Offensive MVP: Peyton Manning
    Defensive MVP: J.J. Watt
Coach of the year: Pete Carroll
Rookie of the year: Tavon Austin

As you can see, I'm pretty high on the Seahawks' chances of winning it all this season. I think they will get past the San Francisco 49ers to make the Super Bowl, and I think they will take down Peyton Manning and the Broncos for the title.

What are your predictions for the 2013 NFL season?

I don't like either team, so it is the lesser of two evils for this SB. I will go for Denver since I don't like the Patriots. I also like the 49ers so, that's another reason to root against Seattle.

I will be watching the game, but there isn't much in it for me.

I already predicted on a different thread on this board that the Seahawks would win. Good defense beats good offense. But I didn't expect a total blowout. The people out here will now be insufferable. I will see Seahawks Super Bowl apparel everywhere.
