I wonder if Conte will need to be in a shoulder brace like Briggs? Is it similar or different shoulder surgery?

I'm not sure that even a full body brace would slow him down much.

I think this has been covered so many times already both in writing and video that it hardly needs to be addressed again. Perhaps you should go back and review that material again before making uninformed comments like this one Abe. I guess since you're such an expert on what coverage scheme was originally called on that play that you don't need to do that huh?

You ass......upmtion would be true if Conte either realized the call had been changed to man coverage or he had deep coverage responsibility and was playing OFF the line as a deep Safety but he wasn't. The very fact that they put HIM in a position to take Cobb man up was stupid since Cobb could out run him hopping on one leg so even if he had covered him from the line the result could have easily been the same only a little father downfield instead of that lob Rodgers made.

So many people screwed up on that play that to concentrate the blame on any one person would be like blaming the iceberg alone for sinking the Titanic.

I'm sure you know what I meant. The last defensive play on Cobbs's 4th down TD. Few questions..Have you read through this thread, especially the few pages after the video and pictures were posted? Did you ever watch those post game press conferences? Do you have a basic understanding of simple, high school level coverages? If you can honestly answer yes to these...then I can't help you. You can continue to falsely believe that Conte knew he was in a 0 man with Cobb and just let him run right past.....:3 8 13[1]:

No, I correctly believe that Conte, as a Safety and a professional football player, should know that he is the last line of defense, that there is no one behind a Safety to make a play, and that letting a wide receiver run right past you in an obvious pass situation is a bad thing.

Two kinds of football players you don't want on your team; the ones who do nothing they're told, and the ones who do everything they're told. At some point, you have to let your instincts as a football player tell you what you should do, especially if you're a professional NFL football player. It would be pretty difficult to argue Conte did that.

SO now your're saying it wasn't the icebergs fault? All the closely held beliefs are peeling away... one by one...
So with the Hindenburg, it wasn't the fire's fault either?
Or with Tice, his IQ and ability?
