The sweet spot for age of WRs and RBs for production? 27.

    Also interesting that WRs are still fairly productive until age 31, but for RBs...its completely downhill after 27. And it appears that most WRs have a breakout rookie year, but a "sophomore slump" their second year.

    how much of this is b/c the players are on the verge of being replaced I wonder, or have already been replaced but not actually b/c they can no longer play. Look at a guy like Gore or Thomas Jones and you see in a rb that if they were not over used they can be very prodcutive after 27, same w/Forte, but these are guys who were never overworked early in their careers.

    Its not an absolute, these are simply averages for players league-wide.

    Wish I would have had it to 34 to tell it the stats are right or not.
