    He sure brought in a boatload of 'em over the years - FA's and draft. I still remember the Adam Archuleta acquisition. No safety was too bad for Angelo and Lovie to drag in. Just reach down into the toilet and pull up another stinky one :-(

    For me, I think the ugly history of bad safety play over so many years just makes me feel like the ugly history of the offensive line. I just got sick of seeing the endless parade of mediocre (and worse) talent come-and-go for both of those units. On offense it was the OL. On defense it was the safeties. This is why I so want to see the safety nightmare to finally end this season.
