670 talking w/ZZ: D in nickle James Anderson at WSL. Greene and Bostic and Anderson when all 3 are out there.
Bostic is the play caller w/Briggs out.
Team wasn't happy w/Corey Brandon at LT, and Britton has gotten all the snaps since yesterday when they both got some time early.
Says the O always starts the day off slow but towards the end of the day looks much better.
Said Trestman will not tolerate pre snap penalties, said if you are at camp and are quite you can hear what Tresticles likes and doesn't like and that's one thing that has been very evident, pre snap penalties will not be tolerated.

Observations from first hour of Thursday Bears practice
    Thursday, August 1, 2013 10:15 a.m. CDT
Some injury and attendance updates from Bourbonnais:
Jermon Bushrod has ditched the walking boot, but is still out with a calf injury. Jonathan Scott is still out with knee soreness. Lance Briggs is in shorts, likely taking a day off. Tim Jennings remains absent – he was excused yesterday for personal reasons. D.J. Williams is in a walking boot after injuring his calf on Wednesday.
The impact on personnel has Jon Bostic, James Anderson and Blake Costanzo as the starting linebackers in the base, though we've mainly seen Bostic and Anderson since the 'D' is in the nickel often. Eben Britton is starting at left tackle.
On the field, wide receiver Terrence Toliver has made a couple nice catches. Nate Collins stuffed a run in the backfield.
There are referees here today as well.

Sad, that most of the camp news is who ISNT there. Maybe in a couple years, the Bears will actually have enough players to put on a real camp *crosses fingers*

More observations from Thursday's Bears practice
    Thursday, August 1, 2013 11:23 a.m. CDT
Here's a compilation of some of Bears beat reporter Kevin Fishbain's tweets during Thursday's practice:
    • Biggest cheer update: Cutler hits Marshall over Tillman for a long play down the sideline. Marshall chucks the ball in celebration.
    • Starting LBs in base today: Jon Bostic, James Anderson and Blake Costanzo. Eben Britton starting LT.
    • No sign of CB Tim Jennings, who was excused yesterday for personal reasons.
    • Lance Briggs not practicing (probably day off). Jermon Bushrod no longer in a boot, but still not practicing. Jonathan Scott out as well.

Ya the Wootton thing hurts if it's serious. He had a breakout year last year and was putting on a clinic in camp this year to boot. The team NEEDS him.

Absolutely. A serious injury to Wooten would be a major defensive blow. And he has a history of not being able to stay healthy. You rarely see Peppers or Tillman or Briggs out but Corey Wooten seems to get hurt whenever the wind blows the wrong direction.

To be fair Wootton had no issues until the Alamo Bowl when he tore the hell out of his knee, both acl and mcl, one of them right off the bone, and it took two years to fully recover, last year was that 3rd year and he was fine.

What the hell is w/the hip and calf inj's this year in camp? Marshal hip inj(off season surg I know) and now Wooton, and Bushrod and DJWill w/calf inj's.

Chicago Bears Training Camp was chugging along this morning from Bourbonnais, and we've got a recap of all the pertinent info.
    Tweet Share + Comments
It was a beautiful day at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL, for the Chicago Bears to continue Camp Trestman, and they did so with a few players on the sideline.
Middle linebacker D.J. Williams remains in a walking boot to protect his strained calf. Starting left tackle Jermon Bushrod is out of his walking boot, but not practicing. Defensive end Jamaal Anderson still has a sore knee, as does tackle Jonathan Scott. Lance Briggs is sitting out today, although there doesn't appear to be any injury, just a veteran day off. Tim Jennings was also absent, after being excused yesterday for personal reasons, he was excused again today.
With Bushrod and Scott still out, Eben Britton started the day at left tackle with the ones, but he didn't stay there. He eventually flipped over to the right side, and -- JWEBB Nation revoice! -- J'Marcus Webb was getting some reps in at left tackle. In more O-Line news, Kyle Long again had reps with the starters at RG, fellow rookie Jordan Mills was working with the twos at RT, and Taylor Boggs was playing center with the twos.
With Briggs sitting out, James Anderson shifted to the weak side OLB, and Blake Costanzo started at the Sam.
Corey Wootton was taken to the locker room at one point to have hip hip looked at. With Wootton missing reps, Shea McClellin spent more time with the ones.
Now let's get down to the nitty gritty...
Cutler to Marshall on a deep sideline route. Perfect pass from Cutler.
    — Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) August 1, 2013
J Webb at LT again with 1s. Good standup vs peppers.
    — John Mullin (@CSNMoonMullin) August 1, 2013
Offense looking very good in 2 minute drill. Right down the field and scored. #bearstalk

    Here's another special teams tweet!
Devin Hester catching punts rapid fire from the JUGGS machine. Didn't see him drop one. #Bears
    — Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) August 1, 2013
And one more special teams related tweet from The Mann himself.
Here is a better pic of my camp bike. She's glorious. pic.twitter.com/qtigu0WJ98

#Bears rookie LB Jon Bostic getting some good work with 1st team D in 7-on-7 carrying inside seam in Cover 2 & playing underneath zones.
    — Matt Bowen (@MattBowen41) August 1, 2013
    Brandon Hardin ladies and gentlemen...
LM: Safety Brandon Hardin strips ball from Armando Allen and recovers fumble in red zone drill.
    — Chicago Bears (@ChicagoBears) August 1, 2013
For a moment it looked as if Kyle Long was going to catch safety Brandon Hardin on a dead sprint down field but Hardin pulled away.
    — Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) August 1, 2013
LM: Receivers Joe Anderson and Terrence Toliver make nice catches working with second offense.
    — Chicago Bears (@ChicagoBears) August 1, 2013
This last one isn't Bears related, it's just some good advice.
If you ever feel like you're going to have to apologize for something if people find out you did it, you probably shouldn't do it.

What are some of your camp thoughts so far?

2 years ago in TC he was supposed to be "ready" and dumbshit Lovie has him covering kicks in a preseason game. He re-injures his knee and there went that year.

I'm not worried about these injuries, yet, but maybe explosive training is a thing of the past for a reason. Every team seems to be gearing toward preventative training and we go the "outsmart the world" route, yet again.

Makes sense for the Bushrod and Williams injuries, but from the little I've read on Wootton's injury it sounds like more of an impact injury than straining/pulling/tearing something.
