I hope he succeeds and the Bears give him time to get his system, whatever it may be, up to speed. It may take a few games to get all the players on the same page and understand the new system. Obviously if it is crash and burn he needs to go, concern is how much time does he deserve, the full year, 8 games???? Just sayin it may not happen overnight but if each game is better I am willing to stick it out, as long as we start at a solid starting point.

Ski, it wasn't just inj's. It was inj's to Melton/DJ/Briggs/Tillman, those are all keys/leaders of your Def. Then you lost Collins who the team felt was Melton's equivalent, not his backup. You didn't just suffer injury, you suffered multiple key losses at every position but S, and the S's should have started last year, they were barely good the year before.

He'll be here all 16 games, you rarely see teams cut a coach and see an improvement whoever they higher to take over. If the D scheme fails then he should be fired after the season though.

We put up with Lovie's bend but dont break for how many years of mediocrity only to lose in the last few minutes. And then get no explanation and no excitement from him. Anything is better than that.

Now he thinks he is an offensive juggernaut based on his draft. Like he could spot an offensive weapon if he tripped on it.

Baltimore fired Cam Cameron mid-season and went on to win the SB.

Don't get me wrong, I WANT Tuck to succeed but alibi time is over. Put up or shut up time. Just get the D to average and we can win. Emery just spent 80% plus easily of the draft and FA resources on D...make it work. I don't want to hear any more bullshit excuses.

We already covered that contingency with that guy from the CFL, Chad Rempel. Don't you remember all of the conversations about whether he'd have a problem handling our smaller balls? :lol 032:

I can see the headlines now. Lovie's offense becomes a jugger...not. :lol 027:

I was shocked that Tampa went O in their first 3 picks (despite the obvious need to do so).

Their GM must have roofied Lovie and handcuffed him to a radiator in his hotel room without a cellphone the first two days of the draft.

exception, not rule. No doubt the D should be significantly better this year. To this point you've heard no BS excuses, you just don't like the reality of what happened.

Despite the talent deficiencies brought on by injuries and lack of depth there was a clown school of missed calls, mal-alignments, and players generally looking as lost week 17 as they were week 7. I can't give Tucker a complete pass on all that as he was the general of the defense.

He's got a re-stocked roster now (way more so than I expected Emery to be able to pull off in one offseason) and he gets to implement his own scheme free reign. I don't think its unreasonable of me to hold him accountable for much better results forthcoming.
