    Nobody's mentioned him yet........from 1961-1966 his record w/ the Bears was 27-20-2 + a championship. He's gotta be here.
    4. Jay Cutler
    5. Jim Harbaugh

I couldn't put these guys on my list because.......

Mike Tomczak's record w/ the Bears from '86-'90 was 21-10.
    He went 7-0 in '86 while passing for just 1100 yards, 2 tds, 10 ints, 49.0 comp %, & a 50.2 qb rating.
He was 15-3 in his first 18 Bears starts with 14 tds, 26 ints.
As a kid I remember watching this guy and just praying it wasn't intercepted.

Rex Grossman was 19-12 from '03 to '08, OR 13-3 in 2006 & just 6-9 in parts of 5 other seasons. So basically you could count on him for a win most years.

Erik Kramer went 18-30 from '94-'98.
29 of his 63 career td passes with the team came in '95 when he went 9-7. Meaning he was 9-23 the rest of the time.

how did they polish leather back then? Or was that the beggining of the metal helmet era. Those helmets look like metal w/the high polish.

I don't know Ric. I just found the pics surfing the Internet. Doesn't Halas look young in the first photo? I forget sometimes that he was a great athlete himself.

He does look fairly young, whats more striking is there is no facilities. they are literally in a open field w/a house in the background

Thank you for leaving Rex off that list Adi, the guy played 1/2 of a good season, there are well more then 5 qb's in the Bears history that played the position better then him...including the running qb Bobby D.
