Trestman had 'em ready. Kudos.

Decimated by injuries. Jay Cutler gone. National TV game at the hell hole of Lambeau Field and the Packers who have owned us. And Trestman had the team playing at a very high level. I am blown away by how he took an old washed up QB like McCown, and had him play rock solid - and win.

Did you hear Steve Young rave about Trestman after the game? He raved about Trestman as a brilliant coach. Keep in mind that we are only 8 games into the Trestman era, playing with a ragtag bunch of backups and new guys - and beating Green Bay AT Green Bay. Pretty impressive.

This was a statement game for the Trestman regime, that's for sure. To come in to Lambeau and beat the Pack is no small feat. Hopefully the trend continues upward as this team comes along.

The team played like studs tonight. Trestman had them fired up bigtime. And at 5-3, we're in this thing. We still have a shot at being NFC-N champs. Huge win.

This game ends up different w/Rodgers out there for 4 qtrs, but all this does was keep the playing field even, and it shows that Trestman and his staff belong in the same conversation w/GB and their staff.

I'm still on cloud nine on this, but trying to be realistic about it, the Packers without Rogers is not exactly a powerhouse. But right now, I don't care. I love it.

This was a long time coming and the fact that this was the Bears' first win up there in 6 years is just icing on the cake.

I came away from this thinking we finally have a solid Bears coach in Chicago. This too, was a long time coming.

In only half a season Trestman is proving to be a really good coach and adept at working with QBs (Proof is the year Cutler has been having and Josh Freaking McCown doing his best Rich Gannon 2.0 impression)

Wise move by Emery to hire Trestman.

It feels good to have a competent GM and Head Coach combination.

Loved the way Steve Young was praising Trestman and the Bears during the postgame.

Young has a lot of respect for Marc because he was his OC in San Francisco.

I liked it too. I didn't want to go to bed last night. I stayed up and savored every post-game comment. We have a long ways to go, and Trestman has a mountain of work to do in Chicago (Emery too for that matter), but I came away feeling we're putting the pieces in place to build a winner here in Chicago. Long term, sustained success. It's a good feeling for sure.

We still have work to do. Marc has earned my respect after last night.

Can he fix the defense is the question? This season, maybe not, but next season I have confidence he will improve out holes.

You can't change the face of a team over night. We simply have too many weaknesses on our roster. The offensive line was a HUGE hole. Thats 90% fixed (need to work on the run side).

The defense is just plain out terrible, but injuries will do that. The problem is that our injuries are in positions that will expose the bad players. So when a running hits the second level, well, there is no second level. lol
