He's going to be "welcomed back with open arms" methinks. :)

The more they talk about this, the more I think Pep is a dead man walking...

ya he's real important until he refuses to take a paycut, then he wasn't performing up to the contract

Peppers did not perform as well as the team wanted last year, and he will be older.
Even if you can get the dollars figured out, he did not perform last year.

Add in the fact that he can save us 14 million in cap space, is there really a way we can keep him, I dont see it.

    What Ric said.

He is really important to us...... At our price.

Just like Urlacher was, just like Tillman will be as well

maybe Pep is 'old' , but i think it was all about motivation last year, and that makes me extra sad (and kind of dissapointed)! i think he couldve been great last season (aside injury)

We heard when we signed him that people in Carolina said he took games and plays off.... Last year kinda proved they were right

Damn, they didn't tell us he takes entire seasons off though.

I think he was not happy the Bears parted ways with Lovie. Smith showed up on his doorstep at midnight to court the guy. Now, granted, he's a professional athlete making an enormous amount of money. You'd think he would not mail in the season. But I do not think he is buying into Tucker's idea of Lovie's system. For what the Bears are paying him, I just can't see how he can stay here and be worth that kind of money, even if he restructures.

Unless we can structure a deal with him that does not take up any more cap space as cutting him, I would rather see him gone. There is no reason to expect him to improve next year when he is another year older.

I think Peppers is gone and Tillman will be back, when Tillman and Jennings are both playing seems like the secondary is much better.
