The offensive line should be embarrassed that the coaches don't have any confidence in their ability to push it in 2 yards. I was surprised they didn't get a least one shot.

That begs the question, who is our weakest link on the interior of our offensive line? My first thought would be "Garza", but since I have no stats to back that up, I have no clue.

I would run that pitch-out to Forte. He 's been getting positive yards with that all season, including today. Or pound it with Bush behind Long/Mills. If neither of those plays work, have McCown roll out and hit M. Bennett or run it in himself.

Not me. As soon as we were first and goal from the two, I yelled NOW RUN IT! at my TV. I had a hunch that Trestman would come out throwing. If other teams are studying the film of our games, there is no surprise when Trestman throws the ball first and goal from 1 yd, line.

He's tried all of those, minus the roll out, which should definitely be a consideration.

So surprise them-- and me -- run the damn ball. He can still pass on 2nd and 3rd.

I agree with you, in that we have to experiment with different ways of running the ball into the end zone, but that still doesn't change the fact that our offensive line sucks on running plays. It doesn't matter if they're surprised or not, we're still not very likely to score a TD running the ball.

Jeffrey,Marshall, and M. Bennett are all pretty decent blockers. That's I'd like to see Forte run wide more, rather than just slamming off-tackle.
