I'll be curious as to how the talent pool of UDFA's is this year with the expanded scouting dept.

The Bears say they won't announce it until they're actually signed. All they have so far are verbal commitments.

Jones is a good developmental MLB. He's got the size, speed, and athletic ability but he lacks some football instincts and he still pretty raw. Good pickup though.

Don't know anything about the other besides Lynch.

I just checked on the NFL site and we have signed 2 (at least as listed there).

Both the NFL has Jones signed with the Jaguars and SBNation has him listed as signing with us.

This will be interesting as it plays out.

Saw that and I'd believe the NFL posting over SB Nation. That's why the Bears said they won't announce anything until contracts are signed. Agents will use this time to leverage bigger signing bonuses for their guys by pitting teams against one another. For some it's more about the money and for others it going where they have a better chance of making the team. Jax may offer Jones a better shot at making the roster.

Some of the UDFA are actually in a better spot than the late draft picks since they have a choice of who to sign with and can leverage a bigger bonus if they're in demand.

And really I can't blame them for getting the most they can. If we wanted them to be a guaranteed thing then we should have drafted them. Go make that paper while/if you can.
