he's just bitter. after some time he'll start being better, he has too much respect for Briggs, Tillman, Peppers, etc and the bears organization. I think he'll be fine after some time.

What he said is not new. He is new to broadcasting and trying to make a name for himself, as open and honest. To report YOUR team did it is a stretch, but makes him HONEST to the market. I hate he used the Bears as an example, but it is true. Who cares now right? LOL, LMAO OK everyone still does. Someone said he should step away a few years then take up what he started, with that I do agree. Maybe his pain IS being directed at the HURT.

That'd be pretty funny if that was his way of trying to prove to the league that his knee is just fine.

That would be some Kaiser Soze stuff, if it turned out all this "trash talking" he's been doing against the Bears, and then talks of injuries were just he and the organization making it look like they want nothing to do with each other, and then week one, he's suited up and ready for play. It turns out later that the Bears had him signed all along, and gave him all the time he needed to get ready for the field. It's not in the realm of possibility, but god *****, every other game (including the 3:30 games) would be interrupted to show JUST THE BEARS, as Urlacher used the time off to use Elephant grade steroids, and single handedly pushes back the entire Bengals offensive line into and onto Andy Dalton, at which point he takes his helmet off and tells him "If this next pass isn't a pick 6, you better have good life insurance." Again, not gonna happen, but this is MY dream of the way the NFL should work.

Hey Brian, if they wanted to delay the game due to injury, maybe you should have done more of this...

I think Favre was just faking it there, so his team could rest. Cutler did this a lot too, when J'Marcus needed a breather.

It's a thought, but I really don't think Cutty was faking it. Those guys blew by Webb so fast they hit Cutler full speed. That's a lot of momentum to absorb.

I think Cutty tied Webb's shoe laces to give him a breather. I know as I get older - and my belly gets bigger - it takes more and more breath away when I bend over to tie my shoes....

Regardless of the whole Urlacher bitterness talk, this isn't a new tactic and it's not going away. This is just part of the game that happens from high school on up and it's not nearly as bad as flopping in basketball or diving in soccer. Kids all around the Chicago area made regular use of this tactic against a team like Mt. Carmel or Joliet Catholic just to slow down the destruction they delivered, no big deal, IMHO.

Urlacher is just mad we weren't stupid enough to pay him the $12 million dollar contract he wanted. Plain and simple.

    I just realized:

A Packer ends a Chicago Bear's season/chance at a SB (You know what scumbag I'm talking about)
    A Bear ends a Minnesota Vikings' season/career
The Vikings ended the Packers' season in the playoffs
The Packers ended the Bears' season in the playoffs
    and
And the Detroit Lions ended his own season (Orlovsky)

Doesn't it seem that ONE of these teams doesn't really understand what a rivalry is?
