This is a kid I mentioned the other day as one of the plus 6' kids whose ranked in the middle rounds. The other would be Purifoy in the late rounds. Aikens is exactly the kind of guy you hope is flying a little under the radar and falls into the 4th or 5th round. He's a kid who fits what we need behind Peanut.

Wonder if he could play FS for a year and gain some experience while waiting on Peanut. In college it appears he played FS originally.

BS, if we take a rookie CB, I hope they beat out frey for the nickle, at least then they'll get experience as an actual CB; best case scenerio is they time share w/Tillman b/c they are good enough to start day one but won't w/Tillman here.

Could be although you have to wonder if Phil is done drafting CBs and trying to make Safeties out of them. If we don't spend anymore than a middle round pick on a CB we can well afford to bring him along for a year or two waiting for his shot. No matter what we need to start drafting CBs because both our guys are 30 or over. Peanut could possibly play another two years and Jennings two or three but we need at least one young guy in the hopper now and then maybe we can use a higher pick on another next year after the line is rebuilt.
