Consider this the one and only, or even the "last", warning. I've seen, over the past couple of months, and even more so since the relaunch, a willingness for members to get in each others faces: Your posts are dumb. No, your posts are dumb. Yea, well... yours are dumber. A "certain user" said... Referring to other members opinions/postings/themselves as "dumb", or being passive-aggressive ("a certain user..."), name-calling, arguing instead of discussing, etc... is going to stop. Period. No exceptions. If someone does this to YOU, whomever "you" may be, you need to report the post and let us take care of it. If you retaliate ("no, your posts are dumb"), then you are just as guilty as the original offender. I understand the need/desire to defend yourself... it's human nature. It also ends up in a circular situation where the blame is going round and round. STOP IT. If someone gets trollish, bullyish, offensive, or starts calling names.... REPORT IT. Do nothing else. If prior to the staff being able to take any decided upon action it happens again... report it again. Some of us (me) live in Japan. It may be a few hours before I, or even any of the admin in the US, see any reported posts. Don't assume that nothing has happened to the offending party and that you now have permission to fire back. You don't. You never will. We absolutely positively have no desire to ban anyone, temporarily or not. But it is much more important that the public forums remain family friendly and without any drama. If you desire a place to get froggy, request access to TBS. BE ADVISED: You also MAY need to get some thicker skin. Some reported posts in the past have been nothing more than whining about an opinion that is different. Report BEHAVIORAL issues, but if your issue is someone "strongly" states their opinion and you simply don't like the way they said it... that's trolling. All the above applies.
