Anything you got for Webb would be a GIFT.

I agree; if we got a 5th, which is where our staff found Mills, you know, our starting RT that replaced Webb, I would soil myself. In fact, I'm pinching an explosion off right now just thinking about it.

Yea let's just start trading away quality backups for 7th rd picks. LOL@ some of the people on this board. The Bears have so many unproven and uninspiring guys on the line. Now you want to deal backups, who actually have game experience and rate better than they are given credit for, as if you have a starting 5 that is proven. Its just plain ridiculous the way some people think.

Heck I'd even take a bunch of Wal-Mart gift cards if we could dump Webb.

I too, use to think the same way but IMO he's either A. Dumb or B. Doesn't want to make the effort to learn the game.

The Bears are D-O-N-E with Webb. The only way he sticks is if Scott simply can't go (not that he's a prize either). In other words, Webb is only slightly more valued by the current coaching/management regime than a journeyman so-so guy who could barely walk a few weeks ago. It has nothing to do with the "on-paper" things that are in Webb's favor (healthy, starting experience, etc). It has to do with his his lack of effort, focus, coach-ability, and dedication. Plain and simple, the Bears are done coddling Webb and sick of his crap. Move on.

If Emery can squeeze a late rounder out of some desperately stupid team like Oakland, it's a gift and take it without looking back. I kinda doubt that will happen...which tells you a lot about how "valuable" Webb's on-paper attributes really are. Every NFL team knows what he really is--a turd that can't be polished any further.

I swear this guy is like Rasputin. No problem with pulling the plug on Louis and Carimi and saber rattling on trading Earl Bennett but this guy NO way. LOL give him to Green Bay as their LT and let Pep violate him like a parking meter.

We aren't talking about trading our quality backups Scott and Britton. This is Webb we are talking about.

    Here is what was said:
"Yea let's just start trading away quality backups for 7th rd picks."
Here is what it should say:
"Yea let's just start trading away the guys we're going to cut anyway for 7th rd picks."

To quote Buddy Ryan, "Trade that man, trade him for a six-pack and it doesn't have to be cold."

"I'm not saying you can't play. I'm just saying you can't play for me."

    - Dennis Green

It works better if you read it in Dennis Green's voice.

They make it sound like the move from left to right is why he's failing. They neglect to mention it was a QB life-saving move.

He should be thanking the Bears for cutting him before he got old enough to play for Oakland.

I'm glad we parted ways with Webb. I wish he had gone to a team that's not in our division.
