TWO DEFENSIVE TACKLES and TWO SAFETYS in the first four rounds.

Because you can never be that ashamed of any BEARS DEFENSE ever again for the rest of your life.

I'm going with the Lovie drafting strategy that brought us a top 5 defense. We draft 7 safeties, but none can be worth keeping.

Throw in a bunch of OL busts and midgets and you've pretty much nailed the formula.

You haven't heard? He made a deal with the devil to get him just one Super Bowl appearance during his career and the devil demanded he sacrifice one Safety each year and commit his soul to hell. He could've bargained for a Super Bowl win but for that the devil said he'd need the sacrifice of a QB and we didn't have one to offer.

ohh.... I just thought it was a product of the NFL copycat system.

He was envious of watching the Lions draft all WR players every year, and just thought it was a great idea. But he wasn't able to pick all WR's because the Lions always sucked so bad they picked before us and cleaned out the WR's. This kept eating at him, so he made a point to pick all one position. He was lucky that Tice was here. Tice LOVED the idea and told him to pick safeties. Lovie asked him why and he said "It's safe".

They just don't make men like Tice any more..... sigh...
