Well, what's the one constant from the Martz era, to the Tice era, to the Trestman era in relation to burned time outs? Jay Cutler.

Actually, good point. But in all fairness, the other constant was short tenures of the OC, perhaps causing delays due to not really thoroughly understanding each other. Of course, Tice calling out O plays was probably like hearing a foreign language anyway...

hmmm....interesting, Henry, but before blaming Cutler, I'd have to go back to see whether or not he routinely burned timeouts when he was with Shanny in Denver. I honestly don't remember.

I think 4 different offensive systems, and the plays aren't getting called in on time, at least a good percentage of that has to be blamed on Cutler.

sorry I don't believe that for 1 second....

first 3 games, TO in the first quarter, 3-0

next 2 games, didn't use a TO in the first quarter... 0-2...

    Coincidence, I think Not!! :D

This is different in that the play was called, the audibles were set and once at the line and setting everything up and calling the audibles JC didn't like what he saw. Part of what Trestman is doing is kind of what Manning does, he wants JC to pre read the D and audible accordingly, but if the D adjusts then JC doesn't have enough time, sometimes, to get another play called or doesn't know what to do.

I'm w/you it's frusterating to see it still happens, and I think in the past it all went onto the OC's, but maybe some of that blame goes to the QB as well. At least now it seems like more of a learning curve issue then an actual communication between HC/QB on what the actual play is.

That's my take on it too. Agree 100%.
