I'm guessing O will be an option every round, but will probably be looked at around the 4th.

I'd love a #2 RB that isn't a vet on the decline. That has worked out poorly for so long here I don't want to see the Bears do it again, considering Forte's age and all.

I'm going to take an educated guess here and say it will be right after they go Defense.

Not sure about when we go O first. Like Ricza said, I think the Bears are open to it every round if the value is there. I still maintain that it's a good idea to draft an offensive lineman in the middle rounds (3-5) each season in order to avoid the issue we once had. Build a pipeline, groom them, and have them waiting for when our own guys decide to leave for a price that's too rich for us to maintain. Since we're in decent shape on the o-line, I'm fine if we grab a guy in the 5th or even possibly later if they find a lot of value still on the board.

Seems a lot of teams take this approach with CB as well. Take one every year and hope a couple of them progress into starters over time. Probably not a bad strategy since CB is one of the highest paid positions.

When a clear-cut BPA plays offense and we feel comfortable with the much needed impact added on D.

We all know I've been one of OhNoBum's biggest, most outspoken critics. However, I will disagree about the blocking thing, because he was actually surprisingly solid at it in the preseason. Much better than I thought he would be, anyway. I don't want to see him around anymore than you do, but I'll give him a clean slate this preseason just like I did last year.

That would be my honest opinion as well. Frankly there's enough defensive talent at spots they need help at that the first three rounds should be pretty full of those guys and then maybe we move in another direction but anything can happen when the cards get shuffled.

And with that, we move to a philosopher joke...

Upon waking, a woman said to her husband, "I just dreamt that you gave me a necklace of pearls. What do you think it means?"
The man smiled and kissed his wife. "You'll know tonight," he softly whispered.
That evening, the man came home with a small package which he gave to his wife. She jumped up and embraced him, and then settled on the couch to slowly and delicately unwrap the package.
It contained a book entitled, 'The Meaning of Dreams'.

Yep. I dont care how many rounds it takes to rebuild our D from last year ... or is it retool?

Anyways BEARS were 31 ranked D last year ... AND WE SUCKED !!

Sorry ... just cant get Conte standing there when Rodgers tossed the game winning TD.

And Seattle stole our thunder about what we are supposed to be about.

I just want to make sure we keep the offense up in the top as we build the defense back up. Not sure if we draft a QB but unless we are going for Colt Lyerla late or betting on UDFA I hope we address RB and TE with decent talent. If we take a QB in RD 4 or later he will not be battling Palmer but would be battling for the 3 spot. I could see us signing UDFA to do that and save the pick.

I agree. A UFDA QB is a real possibility.
